IRC is the largest version of "internet chat rooms" on the Internet. Its a very powerful and flexible system that is widely used by many websites to provide chat rooms to its users.

I run my own network for the Final Fantasy Online games called FFOChat, and I have opened a channel for Pocket Empires for us to use on it.

To connect, download AndChat from the market (scan the QR Code below with Google Goggles or Barcode Scanner)


Open the app, press menu, hit New Server

use the following config

Server Name: Eternia[FFOChat]
Server Address: irc.ffochat.com
Nick1: Your nick in game
Nick2: what ever you want to use incase your nick is taken (happens sometimes on disconnect and reconnect, some people add stuff like ` to end. I have Aikar-EVO, Aikar-Mobile as my nicks)
Nick3: same, backup nick if both are taken
Username: Your nick in game (this wont matter if its shared)
(note: Nicknames or usernames can not contain spaces, so for best results use A-Za-z0-9 and -_[] only)
Real name: up to you if you really want to put your real name here.... But you can just put your nickname again.

Autojoin channels: #pe
(dont forget the # sign)

Leave auto run commands and server password empty. If you wish to register your nickname (to make it yours permanently, you can put
/login passwordhere

in the auto run box, and register your nickname (once) with /register passwordhere

hit save.

Then click on the server you just added and youll now be connected.

You will notice 3 tabs, Status, #vanadiel, #pe
Status is a general info tab, you can ignore it. #vanadiel is a force join channel as its our main chat channel.

If you want to idle chit chat, can chat in there, but its a final fantasy centered room, but we go off topic all the time...

And finally #pe tab will be the PE chat. talk about PE there.
